Welcome to my newly re-vamped web gallery.
My name is Keith Mayhew and I've been working as a professional photographer for over 20 years.
Over those years my work emphasis has changed dramatically. I still have several Corporate customers who I've worked with throughout that time. I have diversified towards Celebrity imagery in the past 3 years or so and my Red Carpet photos are currently licensed through London Photo Agency Landmark Media.
My work has appeared in magazines and newspapers throughout the globe. You have as much chance of seeing my work published in the US, Australia and European magazines as you have of seeing therm in more local media. A far cry from the 'old days' starting out.
But my roots are still close to home and I'm just as likely to be found at a local village fete one day and on the Red Carpet at the Film Premiere in London the next. No doubt followed once more by - some would say - a more homely event.
But I treat all work the same and continue to cover sporting events up and down the country, the occasional wedding, many PR bookings and Corporate assignments.

The latest Disney Pixar movie had it's London Premiere on Sunday and WALL-e attracted just a few stars to the Red Carpet.
Alien hunter Sigourney Weaver plays the voice of the Ship's computer in the movie and to my knowledge its the first time in the 3 or so years I've been shooting celebrity in London that Ms Weaver has hit these shores.
More familiar over here is our own 'loveable baddie' Jason Isaacs. He turned up with two young sons of a friend as his own daughters were already 'booked' and daddy just could not drag them away from a friend's party. Jason - who is a real nice guy in real life - is off to the US later this week to continue filming the new season of 'Brotherhood' and yes he's pretty nasty in that too.

Gateshead International Stadium held the 2008 English Schools Track & Field Championships.
Primarily I was covering the event for Athletics Weekly and a number of regional newspapers, but I have uploaded this large gallery of images from the event from which you can buy copies of the pictures.
The pictures are displayed in chronological order - Friday's marked 'Day 1' and Saturday's 'Day 2'.

Images from Day 1 of this year's Cornbury Music Festival, near Oxford.
Not the blazing sunshine of last year, but still a nice relaxed, chilled out atmosphere and the chance to shoot one of my fave bands of the 80s, The Bangles - Susanna Hoffs has still got 'it' !!
Beverley Knight is a 'good little mover' and was better than I'd thought, but one of the highlights was Mick Jones (formerly of The Clash) new band, Carbon Silicon - they rocked!
I do not do a lot of Music/Gig photography, but each time I do, I get the feeling that I'm not too bad at it.

Former Essex and England cricket great, Graham Gooch visited Letchworth for a Sportsmans Dinner recently. He happily posed with a group of youngsters from the Rugby Club holding a rugby ball. Asked if there was any significance with him and the ball - did he ever play the game as a youngster? "No, never played the game in my life" he said - But he was pretty darn good as a batsman was 'Goochy'.

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar paid a flying visit to Hitchin last month.
The 'Little Master' is a long time friend of current Hitchin player Atul Ranade and was persuaded to help raise the profile of the club by participating in a couple of events.
First up Sachin passed on some batting tips to the young players, signed autographs and officially opened the club's new electronic scoreboard. Then it was onto the Town Hall where he and Atul reminisced about their schooldays and beyond. Of course Sachin's immense career was mentioned too while a packed house of 200 enjoyed the talk and Q&A session. A day which will live long in the memory.
